Introduction of multilayer PCB
Multilayer PCB can be defined as a PCB with 2 or more foil conductive layers. Conductive foil appears to be the layers of a multi layer PCB, and these layers are laminated together and then glued together, with insulating layers between the layers for thermal protection. Placing the layers in such a way enables both sides of the PCB are on the surface. Vias are the source of electrical connections between different layers of a multilayer PCB. Due to the expansion of the electronics industry, 4-layer PCBs and PCBs with more layers are in great demand. As time goes by, PCB problems such as noise, crosstalk and stray capacitance have also been solved successfully. Currently, the PCB boasts the complex design and wonderful routing, which makes it more attractive and popular in electronic devices.
Advantages of multi layer PCB
With the rapid development of electronic technology in the direction of high speed, multi-function, large capacity and small volume, multilayer PCB is inevitable to play an important role.
(1) Small size
With advances in technology, electrical and electronic equipment are getting smaller. The layered design of the PCB sheet provides a smaller size for electronics and electronic devices, such as computers, smartphones, tablets, wearable devices and laptops.
(2) High signal transmission speed
The connection between electronic components is shortened and the signal transmission speed is correspondingly increased.
(3) High quality
Due to the large amount of work and planning requiered during fabrication on the side of multilayer PCB manufacturers/suppliers, this type of PCB is better than the single sided board and double sided PCB board. Thus, it is more reliable with outstanding performance.
(4) Durability
Multilayer PCBs are durable because they can not only withstand huge weights but also withstand high temperatures. Insulation is always between the different layers in these PCBs to provide protection from damage.
(5) Stable low impedance
For high-frequency circuits, after entering the ground layer, the signal line produces a stable low impedance to the ground with an obvious interception effect.

Why the multilayer PCB is widely used? As electronic technology continues to develop towards miniaturization and multifunctional options, the internal components of these electronic products must keep pace with it. Single-sided and double-sided PCBs are limited in their ability to balance size and function, while multilayer PCBs can serve as a comprehensive solution.
